Training of Trainers Workshop on Interpreting Platforms

Budapest, February 6-7, 2020

New technologies in interpreting were examined during the 2019 Training of Trainers. This area needed further discussion, thus the 2020 training was devoted to interpreting platforms that are getting more and more widespread on the market. These new developments must be shown to students. The results of the survey about interpreting tools were presented by Ivana Cenkova. Ramunas Cesonis from DG SCIC examined market trends, and Fréderic Pirotte led platform testing sessions. This training served as the basis of the EMCI's online teaching practice during the lockdown that followed shortly after the event.
